A German gas processing company commissioned Levstal to manufacture a durable steel structure for a circular reformer furnace. The project encompassed the furnace itself, penthouse, platform, staircase system, counterweights, and grating. The structure’s total height reached 13 meters, with an additional 5 meters for the penthouse.
High-quality S235JR steel was selected for its strength and resilience to high temperatures. Key structural elements received protective coatings: the furnace and main framework were finished according to RAL standards, while the grating was hot-dip galvanized to enhance resistance to corrosion, moisture, and harsh environments.
Our team developed detailed packing and transportation plans to ensure the safe delivery of this large-scale equipment. Additionally, to significantly extend its operational life, the furnace’s internal surfaces were treated with Tectyl 121-LV, an anti-corrosion coating with a 250-micron film thickness.
This project is part of a long-term partnership with our client; to date, Levstal has completed over 10 joint projects, underscoring a strong business relationship built on trust and shared understanding.
